Wedding: Ashley & Guy

Fellow New Englanders, Ashley and Guy were married yesterday in Louisville, KY at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. I would say a majority of those in attendance flew in from Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, etc. to take part in this special day. The reception was held at the beautiful Peterson-Dumesnil House, an historic building built in the late 19th century. I didn't catch their name, but they had a rockin' band that really turned things up a notch at the reception. From young to old, everyone was dancing and having a great time!

Wedding: Mary Ellen & Lee

Early yesterday afternoon Mary Ellen and Lee were married at St. Matthews Baptist Churst in Louisville, KY. Their wedding broke from tradition in that they decided that they would see each other before the ceremony. I arrived early so that we would have time to do all of the formal portraits in advance of the wedding. I must say that having the couple available with plenty of time beforehand really allowed us to try things that there normally wouldn't be time for. We had fun and tried a bunch of different ideas, some of which are posted below. It's nice to have so much creative freedom!

Out West

Wow, what a week! It's the middle of wedding season, but I had last weekend off and so I used the time to take a little vacation out west. A friend and I spent a few days running around Yosemite National Park and Mono Lake. The last day was spent touring the sites in San Francisco. The pictures below were snapped with my new consumer-grade camera, a Canon SD700. It's great for snapshots and is so convenient and easy to carry around!

Wedding: Kendall & Bronson

Kendall and Bronson tied the knot last night during an evening wedding ceremony at the Glassworks in Louisville, KY. This was my first wedding there and it was a refershing change of pace--to have an outdoor, rooftop ceremony in the city. It's good to mix things up to keep the creative juices flowing!
