Wedding: Danielle & Brandon

I had a long streak of rainless weddings going, but it had to come to an end sometime. For those of you in Louisville, you're well aware of how much it rained on both Friday and Saturday--there were flooding problems all over the city. Well, in spite of the foul weather, Danielle and Brandon were married yesterday at Bethany Baptist Church in Louisville, KY and it was still a beautiful occasion. As bad as it was, the rain actually stopped in the evening by the time the reception started, which was at the Nunnlea House. I know Danielle was a bit bummed about the rain, but I think after it was all said and done, it really didn't make a difference. Everyone was having a great time and we made some really fun pictures in spite of it all.

Wedding: Danyelle & Jesse

I traveled out of town this past Thursday to photograph Danyelle and Jesse's wedding in St. Petersburg, FL. Their wedding and reception was held at the beautiful Sunken Gardens, a self described botanical paradise. I travel out of state a few times a year, mostly for weddings in Flordia, and I definitely enjoy mixing it up a little bit with these destination weddings. Jesse is a police officer and he and Danyelle left the ceremony handcuffed, walking down the aisle to the tune of Bad Boys (the COPS theme song)!

Wedding: Shannon & Tom

I've been a bit backlogged on the blog as this has probably been one of the busiest weeks of my life. I bought a new home last weekend (!) and I will have photographed my fourth wedding in a weeks time by the end of today. This entry is for Shannon and Tom who were married last Saturday at The Water Tower in Louisville, KY. These two were very laid back, the weather was great and they had some interesting friends who made for a very fun reception! Here are a few of my favorite pics!

Wedding: Laura & Daniel

Laura and Daniel were married this past Friday evening at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Louisville, KY. The reception was held at The Olmsted, which is a very elegant venue--you have to book this one well in advance! Below are a few of my favorite edits--they're a very photogenic couple!

Wedding: Karen & Brian

I got to shoot a reception at one of my favorite venues last night at 300 Spring in Jeffersonville, IN. Karen and Brian were married at New Beginnings Church in New Albany, IN before making their way to the reception. 300 Spring has a really cool dance floor with some dramatic lighting, which always leads to some really cool pictures. I have two below, one which was from a tango they performed as their first dance--very cool!

Wedding: Brandy & Divish

I made my first trip ever to Berea, KY on Saturday to photograph Brandy and Divish's wedding at Union Church. It's a very beautiful town and I'm going to have to make another trip back there to check out many of the local arts and crafts shops. The reception was conveniently located across the street at Boone Tavern -- which is a charming and historic hotel that was built in 1909.
